DSTV is MultiChoice’s Digital Satellite TV service in Africa, launched in 1995, providing various bouquets offering general entertainment, Movies, Lifestyle & Culture, Sport, Documentaries, News & Commerce, Children, Music, Religion and Consumer channels to MultiChoice subscribers.

OpenView HD

OpenView HD brings you a wonderful new world of mltichannel TV in Digital quality without monthly fees. You only pay once for equipment and installation. Once you’re ready to go, it’s absolutely free! There are no montly fees, no contracts, just once-off purhcase of OpenView HD Decoder, Dish and Installation. OpenView HD is a new platform to bring HD channels to South Africa for free.

Full use of the DSTV Explora 2 (including connection to one decoder in XtraView) requires payment of a montly Access Fee R85. Connection of a third decoder in XtraView requires payment of an additional monthly Access Fee R85.

HD channels are only available on selected packages. HD viewing is only available when the device is connected to an HD TV via HDMI. XtraView requires the payment of an additional R85 per month.

DSTV Single View HD

Control what your kids can watch with Parent Control Single View HD. The Single View HD Decoder (DSTV HD Decoder) is HD capable, Dolby Digital 5.1 Capable and comes with a brand new user interface (all the screens and menus you use when wathcing TV). It also has great search features (Making it easy for you to find something to watch), plus an eight-day Tv guide and the ability to control what your kids can watch with Parental Control.
